{Simple Scrapper} January Layouts

Hello! Happy January to you. Over here at my house we're slowing getting back into the swing of things, especially since my kiddos went back to school yesterday (woo hoo!). I have a few layouts to share. These were created for Simple Scrapper featuring templates that come with the premium Simple Scrapper membership.

For the first layout, I took my 40 Before 40 blog post and turned it into a layout, which is a quick and easy way to add some meaningful journaling to a page.

For this second layout, I decided to journal around the outside of the page ... mostly because I saved my journaling for the end and didn't have anywhere else to put it that would work with the page design. I actually do this a lot and it's mostly out of necessity than anything else.

Journaling reads:

Watching you grow up my sweet girl is bittersweet. I miss my baby, but I love the girl you’re growing up to be. You have a big and kind heart. You can be easily hurt and that breaks my heart, and I wish I could watch over and protect you all the time ... keeping you safe and heartbreak free. I know that’s not possible, so instead I’ll tell you this: believe in yourself. You are so awesome. You are smart. You are funny. You are the most creative kid I know. This world is a better place because you are in it. Ignore the naysayers and the critics. Let you light shine. Do what ever makes your heart sing and tune out the rest of the world. Remember that I love you and I think you’re the  best! You will do great things.
