New layout: Gotta Learn to love myself

Hello. Happy Wednesday. I’m so grateful to be back into a somewhat normal routine, which means my blog plans are starting for fall into place. Wednesday will feature a new layout I want to share and possibly the though behind the layout; the why of the journaling; or maybe a highlight of a technique.

This week’s layout is one I created for a challenge over at Two Peas in a Bucket. On the Two Peas Digital Blog, Tara challenged us to scrap about ourselves. I had a Valentine’s Day kit I wanted use and I immediately thought of creating something about “loving myself.”

Here’s what I came up with:

Journaling reads:

My thighs rub together. I have a tendency to overreact. I get cranky if I don’t eat. I’m very, very particular. I can have a bit of a foul mouth at times. I’m not the most patient person. I have wrinkles on my forehead that drive me nuts, along with my newly emerging crows feet. I’m bossy. But. I’m a really good mom. I love my family with all my heart. I’m a hard worker. I throw myself into everything I do ... 150%. I passionate and smart. It’s time I learned to love myself, wrinkles and all.

So, do you scrap about yourself much? I do. And I don’t. I go through stages where I’m super interested in self reflection. During those times I bust out a ton of “all-about-me” sort of layouts. And then I start to feel a little uncomfortable having the spotlight on me and I stop. I’d like to try to and be less manic and more consistent when it comes to scrapping about myself. Maybe once a month is a worthy goal? What do you think?
