{New Layout} Hello Gorgeous

I don't like to scrapbook events. I don't "hate" it, but I prefer non-event scrapbooking over event scrapbooking. I'm sure there are other people who feel the same way ... I an't be the only one who feels this way. If I'm given a choice, I'll always create a page that that's more about feelings than commorating a special event. One of my favorite kind of pages to do are "right now" sort of pages ... pages that are a snapshot of who we are or what we're doing right now. Here's a layout I created recently that's all about Shelby and who she is right now.

Hello my sweet girl. At nine years old you are sweet, spunky and oh-so full of life. You are in the fourth grade and you love your friends. The are one of the major reasons you love to go to school. You’re very best friend is Mollie and the two of you love Girl Scouts. You’ve become an excellent reader and we especially enjoy reading before bed each night. You are doing much better controlling your emotions. You still have bad days, but there are more good days lately, which is so, so awesome. You are so good at making people laugh ... you’re quite the performer. Being with you is a treat.

You’re still obsessed with mustaches. A few months ago you told me that mustaches were “out,” but I guess they’re back in. Case in point? The zillions of mustaches aps on your iPod.

You love art class, reading and creative writing. You don’t like math at all, though once you start your math work, you’re actually pretty good at it.

Another obsession? Your phone. It’s not really a phone. It’s an old iPhone that’s not hooked up, but if connects to the wifi and you can text your friends on it. You even text your Nana.

You recently had your first non-family sleepover at Mollie’s You stayed up after 11 p.m. and were a little cranky the next day. It was a grand adventure.

You’re crazy for hummus, salami, gluten-free mac ‘n’ cheese, bell peppers, fish & corn flakes. You’re always willing to try anything we serve. You eat almost 100% gluten free, which is suppose to help your moods and ADHD.
