{SImple Scrapper} July Layouts
I'm not sure if I made a formal announcement or not, but I joined the creative team over at Simple Scrapper. How cool is that? I'm all about finding ways to simplify my creative process (in all aspects of my creative life), so I'm more productive and enjoying the time I spend creating.
I have some fun layouts to share that were created with the July offerings. First up is a layout that was inspired by a July Story Starter from Simple Scrapper’s Premium Membership. I really, really loved the theme of this month's story starters - Heroes and Role Models. I also love having some very specific journaling prompts, which is exactly what these story starters are … I highly recommend the membership for the story starters alone.
Journaling reads:
Feeling blurry on a Monday morning, I cranked up the music, hopped in the shower and danced my heart out. When I came out, I found Cooper on a step-stool, watching himself dance in the mirror. He reached out to me and said, "Dance with me Mommy." I had a choice: dance with my wet hair + towel; or let the moment pass as I got dressed. I threw caution to the wind. We danced. We laughed. We hugged. And we started our day full of joy. When the song ended, Coop looked at us in the mirror and said, "Thank you. Thank you very much," taking a dramatic bow. My heart was full. Thank you Cooper for reminding me to live in the moment and to live bravely. May every Monday be filled with music, laughter and spontaneous dancing. My second layout was created using a sketch template from Simple Scrapper's Premium Membership. The photo was taken by my friend Erin while at the Your Story Retreat in Oregon. I learned to take some awesome jumping photos. It's a skill everyone should have.

I didn’t want to go. Well, I did. But I didn’t. I was scared. Going to a place where you know almost no one can be scary. But I went anyway. And it was the most beautiful experience ever. Your Story Retreat 2013 was magical. It changed me. In just four days it set me on a path to be the woman I have always wanted to be. I am spreading my wings. And I will surely fly.
