Week 28: Free Printable
Hello again. It’s Monday. And guess what? I’m feeling less stressed and more creative. Dare I say I’m back on track? I’m feeling recharged and ready to tackle life. It’s amazing what a little time off can do for you. I need to remember this later on in the year when I’ll certainly be overwhelmed and unmotivated.
Last week, I went to see “Rock of Ages”. I’m a child of the Eighties, so the music was right up my alley. Watching the movie and hearing the tunes brought about a million memories to the surface. When they started singing Quiet Riot’s “Cum on Feel the Noize,” I was transported back to Descanso Gardens with Suzy Doddridge. We were listing to the song on a Sony Walkman, the one that played cassette tapes. One of the docents threatened to kick us out if we didn’t turn our music down. I guess we were listening to it just a little too loud and were “disturbing” the peaceful gardens. We of course thought this was hilarious and felt like the ultimate rebels.
I loved neon back in the ‘80s and I still love it. Watching “Rock of Ages” reminded me of all the crazy colors and styles I wore way back then. I readily admit I’ve bought a neon green striped shirt within the last few months, as well as a neon orange one. The bright colors make me happy. And I’m a fan of anything that makes me happy. So, for this week’s printable I used some happy, neon colors … a la the ‘80s.
