{Free} Template Tuesday (on Wednesday!)

Still behind on absolutely everything in my life. I’m also having some motivation issues. I really want to do nothing but sit in the sun and read. Is that bad?

I did (finally!) manage to get this week’s template done … but only after I watched a movie and wrote notes to my Story Sisters.

For the layout above, I used a kit I would normally consider too boyish for a Shelby page. Since she was a pirate for Halloween, it worked perfectly for these photos. It also reminded me that just because something is considered boyish or girly doesn’t mean it has to be used that way. I need to be more creative with how I use my supplies and think outside the box.

Have you used some of your scrapbooking supplies in a different way that maybe they were intended? Have you been able to scrap for boys using “girly” kits (this is a huge challenge for me since I like girly kits, but I have a little guy to scrap about/for)? Tell me, I want to know how you do it.
