Free Printable Week 22: Memorial Day

For those of us in the United States, today is Memorial Day. I think for most it’s just a day off. But for me, it’s so much more. I am the granddaughter of a World War II soldier. I am the niece of a Vietnam veteran. I am the cousin of an Air Force doctor who left his wife and five children behind while he served in Afghanistan. I am the sister of a retired Army Paratrooper. I am a veteran of Operations Joint Endeavor and Deny Flight. I am a friend of many soldiers, sailors and marines: many of whom are still serving our country. Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. And I for one will be taking some time out of my day to remember and honor the fallen.
