Project Life: Week 11 (Feb 13-20)

Welcome to my week 11 of Project Life. I was supposed to be home this week (Feb 13th to 20th), but my work schedule changed at the last minute and I had to go to Port Huron, MI. We had to shuffle our Valentine's day plans, celebrate early and I had to miss a field trip for Shelby's class. I was pretty frustrated. But ... some good things came of my unexpected travel: namely a visit with my brother and his family. Port Huron is only about an hour from my brother's home. He moved there less than a year ago and I had yet to see his new digs. Actually, I hadn't seen him and his family since May of 2009.

So, with all the travel on my plate ... I went heavy on the digital side of things. All of these pages are being cut up and placed in the physical photo pocket pages. I might add a few little extras, but I'm not sure. I think I might just be happy to have it all done!

Left page: I saved a slot for my hotel room key.

Right page: Lots of words this week, since there were a lot of
stories
to share.

A welcome home sign from Shelby for me.
One of the reasons I love this project so much is it give me a place to capture and save sweet moments like the one above. No matter how many times I go away for work, I'm welcomed home with great fanfare. I feels so great to be loved and I'm grateful to capture this memory to remind me each day that I'm loved.

So far, I have a single insert for Week 11. It's my photos from February 12th and the Take 12 Photo Challenge from Ella Publishing

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the opposite side of the insert. I might just put some art work from Shelby or Cooper. I also have the report from Cooper's first day at his new preschool. I'll figure it out when put it all together.

I'm also planning on putting the Valentine's Day cards both Coop and Shelby brought home in some sort of divided page protector. I have them all sitting on my desk, in a big box I use to collect all the bits of our life ... but since I'm not sure how many cards they have, I'm not sure how I'm going to tackle it ... just yet.
