Favorite Photo

This will have to be a quickly. We're on a little family getaway. My best girlfriend, who has been my friend since I was little, has a house in Flagstaff ... so we escaped the heat of Southern Arizona and headed north. We've been to the Grand Canyon (first time for all of us), lounged around and are headed to Out of Africa (a wild animal park). Can't wait to share all the photos of our fun. I have to say, this has been one of the best trips ever. I haven't had Labor Day off in years. Last year I was in Brazil working. The year before, I was working in Europe. I am so grateful to be off for this long weekend and spending it with my family.

But, I digress. What I wanted to quickly share was my current favorite photo. It's of me and Coop ... and it's my self portrait for Week 36 (yes, I'm still doing that and yes, I've been keeping up).

My little boy loves, loves to be close to me. Usually that means he's right on top of me, arms wrapped around my neck .. it can be a little overwhelming at times, but I adore him. He brings me so much joy. Here we are ... smushed together.
