Day 21: The final countdown
I’m never on top of Christmas preparations like I am this year. Every gift we needed to buy has been purchased and has arrived at our home (the last one came in the mail today). All of the presents, aside from those Santa will be bringing, are wrapped and under the tree. Our Christmas cards were mailed more than a week ago. My Christmas crafting (lots of wreaths and some photo gifts) are complete … so much so, I decided to make a few more since I have the time and extra supplies. Christmas Eve dinner assignments have been given out. Seriously, it feels SO good. There’s very little stress around our house … except for the little terrorist we like to call Cooper, who is stealing candy canes off the tree and stepping on presents. Christmas can’t come fast enough! My house, like always, is in perfect order. When I am stressed out or busy, a messy house only makes things worse for me. I’ll stay up late or get up early to make sure my house is picked up and in order. I will admit though, I’m still in my pajamas … and it’s almost 3 p.m. I did brush my teeth this morning and got my kids dressed, so things are GREAT.
Editor’s note: I finally dressed around 4 p.m. and we all headed out to run a few errands, like a trip to the grocery store for Christmas Eve dinner supplies.
