Cooper Rex Edward
@ six weeks

We took Cooper to the doctor's today. He was having a regular checkup and THREE shots! Mike went with me, so I wouldn't have to be in the room for the shots. It just breaks my heart to hear my babies cry from the shots (I cried the first time Shelby got her shots and I wasn't even in the room!).

Six Week Stats:
Weight: 12 pounds 3 1/2 ounces
Length: 23 1/2 inches long
Head: 15 1/2 inches

This means he's gained nearly two whole pounds in just two week! Yes, he's a VERY good eater!!

Cooper is really a sweet baby. He's started smiling, which melts my heart. And he's awake a lot more, which is a whole lot of fun. He's still having a little trouble with gas and constipation ... so we rejoice at our house when he finally poops! Who knew we'd be so happy to talk about poop and would be counting the days until he filled a diaper with his stinky business?!!!

Three years ago today my Grandpa Ed passed away. It's a little bitter sweet that I have a little boy who won't get to meet my Grandpa with whom he shares a name and a birthday. I loved my Grandpa a ton and can remember all the times I sat on his lap and listened to his stories. I wish Coop had the chance to sit on his Great Grandpa Ed's lap and hear the same stories I did ... instead, I'll tell him the stories and tell him all about the Grandpa I love so much. I'm glad that there is another little Edward in this world and I know that my Grandpa is smiling down on Cooper and watching over him.
