Happy Election Day

We went and voted this morning. For the first time in my life, I had to wait in line. I did grow up in Leona Valley, CA, so my voting experience is a little different than most people -- you don't wait in line for anything in Leona Valley ... thanks to a population of next to nothing :) Shelby was excited to see what exactly all this voting business was about and enjoyed chatting with people as we waited in line.

No matter what happens I'm grateful to live in a country when I can vote. I'm grateful to be living in a time where more people are encouraged to vote. Waiting in a line made me feel great about our country, as it made me believe that people are finally starting to care about what happens. The days of apathy are gone. I'm also grateful I am able to teach my child bout the importance of voting and why living in a democratic society is such a blessing.

SO GO VOTE!
