A Christmas Angel

I can't even begin to describe just how great Shelby's Christmas program was. She sang like an angel and entertained the entire congregation at her school/church (American Evangelical Lutheran Church). She looked like a little princess, though she danced around like a silly little monkey most of the time! It was great. Mommy, Daddy, Nana, Big Mike and Great-Great Aunt Dorothy were all in attendance and Shelby regularly waved at us from the stage (much to the amusement of the audience). She also twirled about on stage and dance away in her fancy Christmas dress.

The kids at Young Life Christian Learning Center practiced for weeks and weeks ...and it showed. Though the traditional Christmas hymns were beautiful (and are usually my favorite) when Shelby belted out "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" I couldn't have been prouder!

Shelby also got to help blow out the candles on a special birthday cake for Jesus, which I think was her favorite part of the morning.
