Happy Father's Day

In the days leading up to Father's Day, I prepped Shelby on what exactly was happening. She really got excited about Mother's Day this year, so Father's Day made perfect sense to her. She is still celebrating Mother's Day, often wrapping up one of her toys and presenting it to me with a boisterous, "Happy Mudder's Day."

She helped me shop for Mike and drew him a picture in the card I bought. But the best part was this ... when I said, "Tomorrow is Happy Daddy's Day." Shelby replied, "Mom, there is a Happy Mother's day and a Happy Daddy's Day, but when is Happy Little Girl's Day?"

I had to laugh and then tell her that every day is Little Girl's Day. And then we went to Target and got a new My Little Pony to mark the occasion!
