{Simple Scrapper} Good Times? Not!
Hello. Long time, no blog. Been super busy. Like really, really busy! I volunteered to be the Cookie Manager for my daughter's Girl Scout troop. Holy cow. Who knew it would take up so much of my free time? Lots of people warned me, but I didn't believe them. Now I do! Anyway ... I have managed to create some new layouts the last few weeks and I have a new one to share today. I used one of the Simple Scrapper premium templates from the March 2016 collection, as well as a story starter from way back in 2013. The photo features my daughter in the middle of one of her famous meltdowns. We were sitting. At a stop light and I decided I needed to take a picture. The alternative was to cry, so I went with trying to make light of the situation.
Journaling reads:
On the way to a Girl Scout cookie booth, you had one of your epic meltdowns. I keep hoping that as you get older, these will go away. Sadly, they’re alive and well. As we drove, you refused to look at me; refused to talk to me; and between spurts of silence would bark nasty comments at me. This is pretty typical for you and your meltdowns. Luckily, you recovered rather quickly and we went on to have a great day. But there are meltdowns that can last for the better part of the day and those SUCK.
