{New Layout} Happy Together
Over the course of the last few months, I've been thinking a lot about the stories I want to tell. My scrap time is often limited so I have to pick and choose what stories make it to an actual page. The stories I most want to tell are the ones that involve my little family … my kiddos and Mike. Here's a page I created for the Daily Digi using Whimpychomps' Summer Blossoms kit, which is included in the August Digi Files. And not surprisingly, it features two of my favorite people: Shelby and Cooper. I decided I wanted to try and use a Project Life template for a regular ol' page. I love the little "pockets" of goodness.
Journaling reads:
For every birthday, we have a small family party. As the kiddos have gotten older, they also have a party with their friends. For Shelby’s 9th birthday, she wanted to have her family dinner at Pinnacle Peak, a old-West themed steakhouse. That girl loves her meat. Next to the restaurant is a little amusement area with a merry go round, Ferris Wheel, a train and even a gun show. The kids love this place. After a big steak and a birthday treat, we headed outside to play. Miss Kimberley stayed and rode the train with the kids. And then Mike and I took them on all the other rides. They had a blast. I actually had to pull Cooper of the merry go round screaming, since he didn't want to leave. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful, happy family. We love being together.
