Project Life: Weeks 29 and 30

I’m still plugging away at my Project Life pages. I’m totally kicking myself for not keeping up. But at the same time, I’m trying hard to be kind to myself and remember there’s always going to be times when I need a break.

I’m still loving my Project Life pages. They’re a true slice of life. I’m certain I will cherish these pages -- this album -- for years to come.

For these pages, I reached into my stash and played with kits I didn’t even know I have and totally love. My Week 29 included Father’s Day and my trip to Oregon for a retreat, so I had to add an insert. I probably could do a second insert, but I’m feel too lazy to try and tackle another one. I used Dianne Rigdon’s A New Day kit, which can be found over at Two Peas in a Bucket. Isn’t it adorable?

For Week 30, I found a kit I’d never used – KsQuared’s Sunshine through the Rain -- and I’m not sure why, since it’s so stinking cute! It’s one of the happiest kits, ever … perfect for lots of happy summer photos.

For my second page, I used a freebie from Cathy Zielske: the gratitude card. I’ve actually used them (the freebie on her site includes the same card in multiple colors) the last few weeks and I did it as a way to remind myself to think about the things I am thankful for rather than focusing on the things that frustrate me. I’m amazed at how quickly I can come up with eight things from each week that I’m grateful for. I could easily fill a much longer list. The more I look for things that bring me joy, the more joy I seem to find. Pretty cool, eh?

I’m just about caught up. I just have to finish Week 31 (last week), which includes the Fourth of July and our trip to New Mexico. Maybe, if all the stars align correctly, I’ll get it done before this week ends and I’ll be truly caught up!  I’m not going to bet on it … but that’s life, right?

How’s project life going for you? Are you keeping up? Is it harder to stay on track now that summer is here? Any tricks you could share? This week I linked up with The Mom Creative, a site filled with great Project Life inspiration.
