Happy Birthday my sweet Shelby

Don't look at the date. I know it's like umm two weeks after the fact, but I have photos from Shelby's birthday. My little girl had a birthday and is now 6 years old! Seriously, where has the time gone? It feels like just yesterday I was holding her for the first time. She's such a sweet and wonderful girl. I am beyond grateful for the joy she brings to my life each day. She enriches my life in ways I can\t ever begin to explain or repay!


We celebrated her birthday as a family on her actual birthday. Shelby and I went shopping and got our nails done ... and then we all went out to dinner. But, the real fun came last weekend with a party at the Tucson Zoo. Shelby invited some of her friends from school and it was tons of fun. They feed the giraffes. Played in the water area. Had their faces painted. Ate the best cake ever thanks to Miss Jamie. Even Shelby's teacher (and her new husband came to the party).


No matter how many times we feed the giraffes, Shelby is thrilled with the whole process. This time she was especially excited to feed the giraffes, since many of her school friends had never done it.


Here's the birthday girl, looking as pretty as can be with her fancy face painting. Mind you, the paint didn't last long as Shelby got soaked in the water area about 20 minutes after this picture was taken!


Since there were so many great pictures from the party (also thanks to Miss Jamie and her awesome camera skills!) ... I thought a slide show would be the best way to share them. There's a lot of them ... don't feel like you need to look at all of them!

Happy Birthday my sweet girl. You are loved. And we feel so blessed to have you in our lives.
