This was the first year Shelby really understood what Halloween is, and was interested in taking part in all the festivities. A few weeks ago, Mike and I took her to a pumpkin patch and she picked out two pumpkins (one very small one she calls her "baby pumpkin"). She also got a chance to pick out a pumpkin when her preschool class went to a pumkin patch and "Scarecrow Storytime." Up until Halloween night, Shelby would move her pumpkins to different place around the house or front yard, showing special care to her "baby." She was a little surprised when we suggested carving a face into her pumpkins and was pretty grossed out by the pumpkin's "slimy" guts.
